What is free range?
Free range means that the chickens roam freely without any constraints and are fed an organic, all-vegetarian diet that’s free of antibiotics and pesticides. Free range farms provide facilities where the chickens are able to live as naturally as possible and are able to go outside when they want throughout their laying cycle. The chickens have access to scratching areas, perches, litter and nests.
Why free range is better!
Free range chickens are known for producing eggs that are more nutrient dense than those from caged chickens. Chickens that are free to roam around, have a more versatile selection of vitamins and minerals like Vitamins B, D, A, Potassium, and Sodium. Due to the better standard of living and better quality diets, the taste of free range chicken is generally better as their quality of life and diet is a lot higher.
