Vitality Active Rewards encourages and rewards you for getting healthier, driving well and spending responsibly. When you achieve your exercise, drive or money goal, you’ll get rewarded with a play  on the gameboard and a chance to earn Discovery Miles – our one rewards currency that you can spend on a range of exciting rewards of your choice.

Who is eligible for Vitality Active Rewards?

• Vitality Active Rewards is available to Discovery Vitality, Discovery Insure and qualifying Discovery Bank clients, with an active policy or account. You need a compatible iOS or Android device to access this benefit in the Discovery app, Discovery Insure app and the Discovery Bank app. Download or update to the latest versions of the apps.
• Once the main policy member activates Vitality Active Rewards, they are able to activate Vitality Active Rewards for Kids for their child dependants aged 2 to 13. Children can get rewarded and earn Discovery Miles for engaging in healthy activities like getting active, eating well and completing age-appropriate health checks.
• If you have an active Vitality Health membership, you can get rewarded for achieving your weekly exercise goal. This means that each week you are set a personalisedexercise goal to achieve. These goals are clinically-informed and will guide you along specific and progressive exercise pathways to keep you motivated and getting active.
• If you have an active Vitality Drive membership through Discovery Insure, you can get rewarded for achieving your weekly personalised driving goal.
• If you are the primary accountholder of a qualifying Discovery Bank account and have activated Vitality Money, you can get rewarded for achieving your money goal.

Get weekly rewards when you achieve your goals.  Invite your friends to join and earn additional rewards when you reach your goals together. Depending on the rewards category you choose in the Discovery Vitality active rewards app, you will be able to select from the below list of items:

Earn Discovery Miles and a play to pick a tile on the gameboard

• Every time you achieve a goal, you earn a play on the gameboard the following Wednesday. When you play the gameboard, you pick a tile which reveals hidden Discovery Miles. You can spend Discovery Miles on a range of rewards.
• Your play will be issued the following Rewards Wednesday, after reaching your goal, and will be available by the end of the day.
• You have until midnight on the Tuesday after your play was issued to use your play and earn Discovery Miles.
• Plays for late events will only reflect on the following Wednesday. This is because after you have used your week’s plays, the gameboard tiles get revealed to you.
• Each gameboard is different and a new gameboard is released each week to your app.

Terms & Conditions:

• The selected Kauai reward can be redeemed at any Kauai store by scanning the QR code or asking a cashier to manually enter the QR code on the reward pass.
• The validity of the rewards varies, and the expiry date is specified on each reward.
• Discovery Miles do not have to be spent immediately and can accumulated for a higher valued reward.
• If a Kauai reward is redeemed at any Kauai store and a customer decides to cancel the order after the transaction has gone through, the QR code will be lost and no longer be available to redeem again.
• Kauai cannot be held liable for the non-redemption of any rewards voucher due to a customer missing the expiry date as indicated on the reward voucher or to a Kauai instore POS system being down due to loadshedding or any other internet connectivity issues.
• Any additions and substitutions are charged as per the normal menu price.
• The Vitality Active rewards can only be redeemed for the products listed below with the relevant issued voucher.
• Vitality Active rewards are not redeemable for cash and no change will be given.
• Vitality Active rewards cannot be used in conjunction with the Kauai App or any other store promotion, discount, voucher or delivery service like Uber Eats, Mr D Food and/or Bolt Food.
• Vitality Active rewards cannot be used in conjunction with any other Kauai partner promotion in the Kauai App or in store. Customers can only scan their Kauai App to earn loyalty points on the remaining till amount once/after the Vitality Active reward has been used/applied in store.
• The Vitality Active rewards cannot be used with any other promotional campaigns online or inside Kauai retail and Kauai Virgin Active gym stores.
• Vitality Active Rewards can be redeemed at all participating Kauai stores (Retail & Virgin Active gyms).
• Kauai and Virgin Active staff cannot redeem this promotional offer in conjunction with their staff discounts.
• Vitality Active Rewards are not refundable for cash and no change will be given.
• The Kauai menu offering might differ from store to store, depending on the store menu format and the store that a customer is visiting. Customers can only redeem menu items that is available in the specific store that they are visiting.
  • Vitality Active Rewards can be redeemed at all Kauai stores, except Kauai American International School, Kauai Parklands College.
  • Vitality Active Rewards cannot be redeemed in Kauai stores located outside of South Africa. These stores include: Kauai Namibia, Kauai Botswana, Kauai Netherlands or Kauai Thailand.
  • Stores with a limited menu offering include: All Kauai Checkers stores, Kauai Food Truck and selected Kauai Virgin Active gym stores.

• The Kauai menu offering might differ from store to store, depending on the store menu format.
• Customers should refer to a store menu to understand what is available in that specific store before redeeming a Vitality Active reward to avoid disappointment.
• The Kauai rewards for kids issued can only be redeemed in a Kauai store if the applicable menu item (as shown on the reward) is available at the Kauai store that the customer is trying to redeem the reward at.
• The below list of menu items is available for customers to redeem their Vitality Active Rewards on; however, this might vary on the menu availability of the store that the customer is visiting, and items can be added or discontinued based on seasonal menu updates.

GET A R100 KAUAI VOUCHER TO SPEND IN STORE (1000 miles):

• The R100 Kauai voucher issued through the Vitality Active reward can be used to purchase any Kauai menu item.
• Reward vouchers can be redeemed at any participating Kauai store by presenting a valid numeric or QR code to a Kauai cashier.
• Once the R100 Kauai voucher has been selected in the Discovery Vitality Active rewards app programme, the voucher cannot be reversed for another partner voucher.
• When redeeming a R100 Kauai voucher, the full voucher value of R100 will be deducted on each transaction and no change will be provided – should a customer not select a menu item to the value or R100.
• If the total value of a transaction is more than the voucher value of a R100, the customer would need to pay in the difference.
• The R100 Kauai voucher will expire at 12pm on midnight on the expiry date provided on the voucher in the Discovery app.
• Customers can only earn loyalty points with their Kauai App on the outstanding amount to be paid after a R100 Discovery Vitality Active rewards voucher has been used.
