What is Avis SafeDrive?

Avis SafeDrive is a partnership between Avis and Discovery Insure which introduces Vitalitydrive as a stand-along product to the car rental industry.  The Discovery Insure Sensor and customer’s app will monitor a customer’s driving behaviour and update a customer through the SafeDrive app.  Avis Safe Drive is a smartphone app available on Android and IOS.

Avis SafeDrive is aimed at customers who are conscious about their safety and customers who drive well will be rewarded daily, based on 5 different reward tiers depending on their driving score. On the Avis SafeDrive app, customers are able to access their trip data, see their driving scores and what they can do to improve their scores and redeem their reward vouchers.  A daily score of 80 or more unlocks rewards such as a free coffee, smoothie or meal on a daily basis.  For more information on Avis Safe Drive, visit:  https://www.avis.co.za/drive-avis/car-hire-extras/avis-safe-drive

Terms & Conditions:

• Customers receive reward vouchers in the form of a SMS.
• Each reward voucher will indicate the relevant product description and show a unique wiCode relating to that product.
• The wiCode digit number needs to be presented to the Kauai cashier in order for them to manually input the digit number into the system for a customer to earn their reward.
• Only one reward can be redeemed per wiCode, per customer.
• Each rewards voucher is only valid for two weeks and will expire after the valid date indicated on the voucher.
• There are 5 reward tiers that a customer can redeem (see below reward tier breakdown).
• Customers receive a reward voucher based on their driving score 80-100. For Example: If a customer qualifies for a tier B reward (Get any Small Smoothie or Hot drink) they can choose to get a Hot drink from category C instead.
• If a reward voucher is redeemed at any Kauai store and you wish to cancel the order after the transaction has gone through, your wiCode will be lost and no longer be available to redeem again.
• Avis SafeDrive reward vouchers can be redeemed at all participating Kauai stores (Retail & Virgin Active gyms).
• Avis SafeDrive reward vouchers can be redeemed at all Kauai Checkers retail stores (redemption of vouchers subject to menu offering)
• The rewards vouchers for Avis SafeDrive cannot be redeemed at Kauai American International School, Kauai Parklands College, Kauai Namibia, Kauai Botswana, Kauai Netherlands, or Kauai Thailand.
• Any additions and substitutions are charged as per the relevant menu price.
• Avis SafeDrive rewards vouchers are not redeemable for cash and no change will be given.
• Avis SafeDrive rewards cannot be used in conjunction with the Kauai App or any other store promotion, discount, voucher, or delivery service like Uber Eats, Mr D Food and/or Bolt Food.
• Avis SafeDrive rewards cannot be used in conjunction with any other Kauai partner promotion in the Kauai App or in store. Customers can only scan their Kauai App to earn loyalty points on the remaining till amount once/after the Avis SafeDrive reward has been used/applied in store.
• The Avis SafeDrive rewards cannot be used with any other promotional campaigns online or inside Kauai retail and Kauai Virgin Active gym stores.
• Kauai and Virgin Active staff cannot redeem this promotional offer in conjunction with their staff discounts.
• The Kauai menu offering might differ from store to store, depending on the store menu format and the store that a customer is visiting. Customers can only redeem menu items that is available in the specific store that they are visiting.
• Kauai cannot be held liable for the non-redemption of any rewards voucher due to a customer missing the expiry date as indicated on the reward voucher or to a Kauai instore POS system being down due to loadshedding or any other internet connectivity issues.
• The below Kauai menu items can be redeemed with an Avis SafeDrive reward voucher from April 2023 – September 2023. Menu items are subject to change from time to time based on seasonal menu launches.
• The Avis SafeDrive reward vouchers can only be redeemed for the products listed below in the 5 reward tiers.
